E-Commerce & Sales Tax Services in Dallas-Fort Worth
Sales tax compliance and accounting for DFW e-commerce sellers. Navigate multi-state nexus, marketplace facilitator rules, and platform integrations with expert guidance.
The difference
How we approach the work.
E-commerce has exploded, but so has sales tax complexity. After the 2018 Wayfair decision, states can require sales tax collection based on economic nexus—meaning you might owe taxes in states where you've never set foot.
Our team helps Amazon FBA sellers, Shopify store owners, and multi-channel e-commerce businesses navigate this maze. We determine where you have nexus, get you registered, set up proper collection, and file returns in every required state.
Beyond sales tax, we handle the unique accounting challenges of e-commerce: inventory costing, marketplace fee reconciliation, multi-channel reporting, and platform-specific tax implications.
How it works

Questions
Common questions.
How do I know if I have sales tax nexus in a state?
Each state has thresholds (usually $100K in sales or 200 transactions). Amazon FBA automatically creates nexus in states with fulfillment centers. We analyze your sales data and FBA inventory locations to determine exactly where you have obligations.
What about marketplace facilitator rules?
In most states, Amazon, eBay, Etsy, and other marketplaces collect and remit sales tax on your behalf for sales through their platform. However, you may still need to file returns (showing marketplace-collected amounts) and handle sales through your own website.
What if I haven't been collecting sales tax but should have been?
This is called "back exposure." We can conduct a voluntary disclosure in most states, which typically waives penalties and limits lookback periods. It's better to come forward than wait for an audit notice.
Do you work with tax automation software?
Yes. We integrate with TaxJar, Avalara, and native platform tools (Shopify Tax, Amazon Tax Calculation Services). We help configure these systems correctly and reconcile their calculations with your actual filings.
How do you handle my e-commerce bookkeeping?
We reconcile marketplace deposits with individual orders, properly categorize fees (fulfillment, referral, advertising), track inventory/COGS, and ensure your books match what platforms report to the IRS on 1099-K forms.
